My name is Anna Marie (known as Ana). I first heard of Kawai Purapura from fellow servers at the Dhamma Medini Vipassana Meditation Centre who spoke highly of the KP, its philosophy and culture and of course yoga.
Being interested in implementing more in meditation, yoga, and a proactively conservation lifestyle, I decided that Kawai Purapura was exactly where I needed to be. I am currently in the process of study and training towards a Bachelor of Health Studies and Neuro-muscular Therapy at the New Zealand College of Massage.
Over the last 15 years I have worked within the sport, health, fitness, and recreation industries and in the New Zealand Defence Force (Army and Air Force) for roughly 6 years. I have been involved in a variety of sports both competitively and socially, in roles from athlete, through to strapper, coach/trainer and at times simply offering advice for rehabilitation from injury etc.
I am always looking for new bodies to massage, and am happy to chat with anyone who has any sports-related challenges they would like discuss or to bounce off someone with perhaps another perspective. I am more than happy to massage fellow residents, and open to koha and definitely up for swaps ![]()
